Plumbers / Website design

Plumber website design for companies that answer the phone

A plumbing site is a dispatch tool that happens to be public. The person searching at 11 p.m. with water on the floor needs the emergency number, the cities you will drive to, and a reason to trust you. Everything else is secondary.

The emergency path and the planned job path

These are two different customers. The emergency caller needs a tap target the size of a thumb and a sentence about response time you can keep. The water heater replacement customer will read a page, compare two companies, and call in the morning. Mixing them into one screaming homepage makes both experiences worse.

Service pages should match how you price and staff the work: drains, water heaters, sewer lines, repipes, fixtures, gas lines if you are licensed for them. If you do not do a job, do not rank for it. The wrong call costs a truck.

  • Sticky call button on mobile, with the after hours number if it is different
  • A service area written as counties or a drive time, not 80 cloned city pages
  • License number and insurance stated where a homeowner can find them
  • Financing only if you actually offer it, with the real terms nearby
  • Photos of your trucks and your work, not a stock van

City pages, and why we usually skip them

Search tools will tell you to publish "plumber in" plus every town in the metro. Those pages are doorway pages when the only unique word is the town. Google has discounted that pattern for a long time, and customers can tell. A strong drain page plus a service area section beats fifty thin town pages.

The exception is a town where you have a real base, a different crew, or a story that would still make sense if you deleted the town name and had to rewrite it. That is a high bar on purpose.

Ads, listings, and the site have to match

Plumbing companies often run Google Ads or Local Services Ads next to organic search. The ad, the landing page, and the Google Business Profile should name the same services and the same hours. If the ad says 24 hour and the site says emergencies until 10, you pay for the complaint.

We will not build the site as a brochure and leave tracking for later. Call clicks and form fills need to be countable before anyone scales ad spend. The website is the place that number is earned or wasted.

What a rebuild usually includes

A typical plumbing marketing site is a homepage, an emergency page, six to twelve service pages, an about page with the license, and contact. Add a blog only when you will answer real questions, such as what to do before the plumber arrives, not when you need filler. We quote that scope as a fixed project. A custom dispatch system is a different service and we will not hide it inside "website design".

What do owners in this industry ask?

Q01How much does a plumber website cost?

A focused service site is a fixed project quote after we see the current site, the number of services, and whether old URLs need redirects. Template marketplaces are cheaper and usually look like every other plumber. We will tell you if a template is honestly enough.

Q02Can you write city pages for every town we serve?

We can, and we usually recommend you do not. Thin town pages are a ranking risk and they are boring to maintain. We write a real service area and strong service pages instead.

Q03Will the site help with Google Ads?

It should. Each major service can be a landing page that matches the ad. Management of the ad account is a separate service so you can see media spend apart from the build.

Q04Do you include online booking?

For emergencies, booking a "slot" is often the wrong promise. A call, or a request that dispatch confirms, is more honest. Planned jobs like water heater installs can use a request form with a preferred day.

Q05What about after hours calls?

The site can only show the number. Answering it is the AI receptionist or your on call tech. We can scope that next to the site if missed calls are the actual problem.
